Political activist groups from Pearl River, Hancock, Harrison and Jackson Counties gathered to march across the Bay Bridge from Pass Christian to Bay St. Louis on June 30. The marchers protested the Trump administration’s immigration policies of separating migrant and refugee children from their parents, and the continued internment of children.
Joining the marchers were Democratic Party candidates for MS 4th Congressional District  and the U.S. Senate,  State Representatives Jeramey Anderson and David Baria. Representative Anderson will face incumbent Congressman Steven Palazzo, while Representative Baria will face incumbent Senator Roger Wicker in the General Election November 6
There were over 600 marches nationwide on June 30, including marches in nearby Jackson, MS;  Covington, LA; and New Orleans, LA.
